Mr. John Yu has been the President of Walton Advanced Engineering since 2002. At the same time, Mr. Yu served as the Chairman of Walton Chaintech Corporation from 2004 until 2008. Prior to that, Mr. John Yu joined the Walsin Group and Walton Advanced Engineering in 1995 as one of the company founding members and as Vice President of Finance/Purchasing/MIS. Mr. Yu also was a board member and President of Union Electronics for 6 years in the consumer electronics design and manufacturing field. Before returning to Taiwan, Mr. Yu worked as staff engineer at the General Motors Corporation in Detroit and as staff consultant at Andersen Consulting in New York City.

Mr. Yu received a BS degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and a MS degree from Stanford University in Engineering Management. Given his engineering and management education background, Mr. Yu successfully founded and supported a number of companies from infancy to growth stages with excellent returns to original investors. Mr. Yu has a number of technical patents filed in his name over the years, and he currently serves as the Chairman of the Princeton Alumni Association in Taiwan and as Club President of the Lawrenceville School in Taiwan to support recruiting activities in Taiwan.
